To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
I would like to propose additional fields through which the Peace Corps could aid underdeveloped nations. Fundamental instruction in fields such as health and hygiene is a basic necessity in such countries although it is almost taken for granted in the United States. I think that the Peace Corps should be broadened to include these fields in addition to math, science, and English as your editorial of January 9 suggested. I would also like to enquire why girls have never been mentioned in relation to the Peace Corps....
The Peace Corps would be a marvelous opportunity for young people to contribute something worthwhile to the world. Youth does not lack the desire to help humanity but rather the ability, for there are few things that we can do. The Peace Corps is definitely one way we can help. Helen S. Garvy '64
