Geology Department Plans New Laboratory Facilities

The Department of Geological Sciences has recommended that a new laboratory building be constructed on Oxford St, in front of the University Museum. The proposed building would cost approximately $1 million.

Laboratory work is now being done in three buildings which are blocks apart with facilities that are inadequate and inefficient, according to Francis Birch, Sturgis Hooper Professor of Geology.
