Dean Would Consider Proposal Advocating Radcliffe Parietals

If a majority of Radcliffe students favor allowing men in their rooms at specified hours once or twice a week, the College Administration is willing to give "serious consideration" to the proposal, Frances R. Brown, Dean of Residence and Student Affairs, said yesterday.

Girls interested in regular "Radcliffe parietal hours" should submit their suggestions to the Student Government Association for discussion, Dean Brown noted, adding that at present few students appear to desire such a change in the rules.

Replying to a sample poll yesterday, only two dormitories--Comstock and Whitman--declared overwhelmingly in favor of the proposal. Approximately half of the girls in Holmes and Moors approved the suggestion, with residents of Barnard, Bertram, Briggs, Cabot, and Eliot generally opposed.
