It's open house again tonight at the CRIMSON as Cambridge's only daily newspaper opens its annual fall competition for all four boards--news, editorial, photography, and business.
All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are invited to the CRIMSON building, 14 Plympton St., at 7:30 p.m., to talk with the editors, inspect the newsroom and printing facilities, and discuss the details of the eight-week competition. Beer will be served.
Many positions are open on all four boards. The news board writes the front page and is responsible, too, for sports coverage; the editorial board composes page two. Candidates for the photo board will be initiated into the mysteries of using the engraver and developing prints in the darkroom, while students trying out for the business board will have the opportunity to learn about CRIMSON finances.
'Cliffies Welcome
Radcliffe girls are welcome to compete for any board, and special allowance for Radcliffe curfews will be provided in the competition.
CRIMSON candidates will compete against the paper's standards rather than against their fellow candidates. As in years past, the CRIMSON will elect to its boards as many candidates as successfully satisfy these standards.
