Paced by junior Mark Mullin, the Crimson's harriers ran away with seven of the first ten places to top Boston University and Providence College in Tuesday's cross-country competition.

Mullin's first place and a surprising fifth place by track captain Fred Howard, participating in his first college cross-country race, highlighted the meet. Running on a windy five-mile course in Boston's Franklin Park, the Crimson tallied only 22 points to B.U.'s 53 and Providence's 61.

Earlier Tuesday, the freshman cross-country team defeated Providence's freshmen 23-33 on a three-mile course. The freshmen yesterday downed Phillips Andover Academy on the same course 17-43.
