MANCHESTER, N.H., Jan. 20--Willie Mays, sensational outfielder for the San Francisco Giants, tonight was termed the best all around player in baseball--a successor to Joe DiMaggio in that super-category.
The authority was Mays' former manager, Leo Durocher.
Durocher is here to attend the 12th annual baseball dinner sponsored by the Manchester Union-Leader.
Others featured at the lavish affair held at the state armory include Gil Hodges and Larry Sherry of the world champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
