Over 1000 student delegates from all sections of the United States are expected to attend a Democratic National College Convention, to be held in Cambridge from April 29 through May 1.

Plans for the sessions, sponsored jointly by the Harvard Young Democratic Club and the New England Intercollegiate Young Democrats, include small group discussions led by professors in the social sciences, public officials, and other Democratic party leaders.

According to Michael J. Piore '62, secretary of the HYDC, the convention will "draw college students into political activity by giving them political experience under realistic circumstances."

Piore, elected Monday night to serve until the HYDC holds a general membership meeting Feb. 17, announced the election for a similar term of Minot W. Tripp '61, second vice-president; Joseph N. Onek '62, treasurer; and M. Deric Bownds '63 and Roger M. Leed '61, members at large.
