A seventeenth century Cambridge home, the Lee-Nichols House at 159 Brattle St., will be opened to the general public for the first time, this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. It will remain open until 5 p.m., and during these hours for the remainder of the months of July and August.
The home was given to the Cambridge Historical Society by its owners about two years ago. It is believed to be one of the oldest houses in Cambridge, and contains interesting specimens of wallpaper and a bee hive chimney.
Admission is 50 cents.
