Graduates Attend Pops, Will Visit Essex Today

Over 500 alumni of the Class of '34 and their families joined festivities last night at Symphony Hall. Following separate dinners at Symphony Hall, the Museum of Fine Arts, and at the Union, graduates met with seniors and intermediates at the all-Harvard Concert.

A sixteen-bus cavalcade, complete with motorcycle escort, transported the graduates and their families to the special Pops Concert. Under the direction of Arthur Fielder, the Orchestra played such favorites as Down the Street, Look Sharp Be Sharp, and the Academic Festival Overture.

Today the members of the 25th reunion class and their families will spend an active day at the Essex County Club. Buses for adults and seniors will leave between 8:45 and 10 a.m. directly for the Club or via tours through Salem.

In addition to golf, tennis, and softball at the Essex, swimming and boating will be available for the reunion families. Shuttle buses will leave regularly this morning from the Club to Singing Beach Club and for Manchester Yacht Club.

Cocktails and a lobster dinner will be served at Essex at noon and supper and drinks from 5 to 7 p.m.

Junior and intermediate offspring of the Class of '34 will have a separate program beginning at 9:30 a.m., when buses leave for Manchester Bath and Tennis Club. After swimming and picnicking at Manchester, juniors and intermediates will return to Cambridge for supper, then entertainment in the Union for juniors and movies at the Geographical Institute for intermediates.
