Ten Students Receive Fellowships For Continuing Studies Next Year

Nine College seniors and one alumnus have received fellowships for study and travel next year, it was announced yesterday.

Frederick Sheldon Prize Fellowships were awarded to Allan J. Rosen '59, of Dunster House and New York City; Robert H. Socolow '59, of Kirkland House and New York City; William W. Sihler '59, of Lowell House and Brooklyn, New York; and Jacob H. Tulchin '59, of Lowell House and New York City.

Rosen is undergraduate secretary of the Harvard Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Sihler, an Honors concentrator in Government, was recently awarded the Charles Joseph Bonaparte Scholarship as the senior with the highest scholastic record in his field.

Daniel M. Fox '59, of Leverett House and New York City, and Arthur L. Kopit '59, of Dunster House and Lawrence, New York, have received Henry Russell Shaw Traveling Fellowships.

Frank Knox Memorial Fellowships were awarded to four students. William F. Anderson '58, who has been studying pre-clinical medicine at Trinity College in Cambridge, England, received one of the fellowships. The others were granted to John P. Demos '59, of Lowell House and Cambridge; Thomas L. Fisher '59, of Claverly Senior House and Omaha, Neb.; and Isaac Kranmick '59, of Winthrop House and Millis.

Demos, a candidate for Honors in History, is a former sports editor of the CRIMSON. Fischer and Kramnick are Honors concentrators in Social Relations and Government, respectively.
