The rapid development of nuclear power and the growth of radioactive stockpiles must be controlled by fool-proof regulation, two Harvard professors told the state legislative committee on public health yesterday. Harold A. Thomas, Gordon McKay Professor of Civil and Sanitary Engineering declared it the duty of the State Health Department to evaluate the current danger of radioactivity, and to regulate atomic substances if necessary.
