Dunster House took over the lead in the contest for the Straus Trophy, awarded annually to the House leading in overall intramural competition at the close of the winter season with 1039 points.
Following Dunster are Winthrop (965), Kirkland (954), Adams (855), Leverett (710), Eliot (687.5), Lowell (635), and Dudley (590.5).
Kirkland compiled a perfect record of seven victories and no defeats to win the House volleyball championship. Winthrop (6-1) placed second, while Adams (4-3) and Dunster (4-3) tied for third. Rounding out the standings were Leverett (3-4), Lowell (3-4), Dudley (1-6), and Eliot (0-7).
Charlie David of Matthews South defeated Dudley's Reginald Howe 3 to 1 to win the final round of the annual Freshman squash tournament. David beat Rick deLone of Mower, 3 to 0, and Howe overcame Steve Secunda of Wigglesworth, 3 to 1, in the semi-finals.
Swimming and fencing competition this week will round out the winter schedule in Freshman athletics.
