Freshman Nine Wins As Williams Homers

Combining good pitching and strong hitting Saturday, the freshman nine shut out Exeter 8-0 on nine hits in a contest at Soldiers Field. Paul Ronka nurled for eight innings allowing only two hits, walking seven of his opponents and striking out two.

Roy Williams hit a single, two doubles, two doubles, and the afternoon's only homer, earning three RBI's. Jim Dwinell also sparked the Crimson victory by gaining credit for two RBI's on two singles.
