Crimson Golf Squad Loses to Tufts, 4-3, Crushes Amherst

The Tufts golf team handed the Crimson its first loss of the year Tuesday in a triangular match at the Sagamore Springs Country Club. While losing, 4 to 3, to the Jumbos, the varsity easily subdued Amherst, the third college in the meet, 6 to 1.

Crimson captain and number one player Frank Dodge shot a good three-over-par 75 only to lose to Jumbo John Donohue's 71. Donohue, an excellent performer in collegiate circles, helped his own cause by sinking two 20-foot putts.

The three varsity men to beat their Tufts opponents were Fisk Warren and Dick Reilly, numbers two and three, and number six man Jim Noble.
