Peter Sachs drove a '57 stock Chevrolet to victory in a long, four-hour sports car rally sponsored by Yale last Sunday. Navigated by Grey Jones, the Harvard car compiled only 312 points in the event by keeping closest to an average speed which varied but was usually in the low 30's.
For the event it was necessary for Jones to keep speed times accurate to tenths of miles per hour. The rally course began on Route 15 near Hartford, and led south through New Haven.
M.I.T. finished second in the event with 383 points, and Yale came in third with 843. Ten to 15 Harvard cars will attend a gymkhana at Babson Institute in Wellesley on Sunday, April 26.
