A season of Ivy League basketball in which two teams completely dominated the standings will come to a rousing climax tonight as Dartmouth and Princeton play off for the championship in Yale's Payne Whitney Gymnasium.
Two weeks ago in Hanover, the Indians walloped the visiting Tigers, 71 to 59, but last Friday, Princeton came back in fine style to crush Dartmouth, 83 to 67. Obviously evenly matched, the two squads will both be denied the advantage of playing on their home courts.
Thus, the winner tonight, who will represent the Ivies in the upcoming NCAA tournament, will probably be the better squad--although anything can happen. But no matter who triumphs, it is almost a sure thing that powerful West Virginia, winner of the Southern Conference title, will outclass either in the first round of the tourney.
