The varsity fencing team will seek its first Ivy League victory today at 2:30 against a successful Yale squad with a 3-1 League record. The match should be fairly close.
The Crimson's best weapon is the sabre, with Manuel Cabral in the first position. Bill Trebilcock, the team captain, has a 10-2 record in Ivy competition in the foil and should do well in this class, though Yale's best foilman, Peter Pohly, has beaten him every time they have met.
The Crimson's weak spot has been the epee, but they have only lost once to Yale in this event since Edo Marion has been coach.
