Ski Team Elects Breasted

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Harvard ski team elected James H. Breasted '60, of Kirkland House and Kent, Conn., its captain for the '59-60 season.

Breasted, who races cross country, placed 11th in a field of over 40 in this event at this year's Dartmouth Winter Carnival.

In its next contest this season, the skiers will face Yale and Princeton in the triangular meet on Saturday, April 4, at Cranmore Mt., North Conway, N.H. Their final match will be against Dartmouth on April 17 at Tuckerman's Ravine on Mt. Washington.

Despite the withdrawl of University financial support, Breasted indicated that enthusiasm for the team is growing and predicated a very good team for next year. He attributed this mainly to the increased experience of the team and to several excellent up-coming freshmen.

Breasted predicted that outgoing captain Don Stephenson, a combined man who has starred at both jumping and cross country, will probably be invited to the Nordic Olympic Training Championship next winter.
