A young Harvard-educated blueblood who is attempting to toss politics' roistering Dead End Kid, Ald. Mathias "Paddy" Bauler (43d), out of office is going to carry his fight to every precinct in the ward.

Paddy's opponent, Francis D. Fisher, 32, of 1550 Wieland, is a tall (6-foot-3) scion of a family long prominent in public service....

Fisher appeared overly modest about the fact that he went to Harvard--both as an undergraduate and to get his law degree. He did not volunteer the information, even in a statement of his background.

"That was right after the war and you had to go where you could get in," he said. --From the Chicago Daily News, Jan. 8, 1959
