Yardling Five Downs Weak Andover Team

The freshman basketball team outplayed Andover from the opening jump to gain a 73 to 50 triumph yesterday afternoon at the I.A.B.

Joe Deering, with 21 points, led the Yardlings, who controlled the backboards throughout the game and took advantage of fast breaks for most of their scoring. The Crimson had very little difficulty using a man-to-man defense against Andover's shorter quintet.

With the score 34 to 23 at the half, coach Bruce Munro replaced his starting five, but his substitutes continued to score against Andover's ineffective zone.
