Quincy Will Present House Arts Festival

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Quincy House will sponsor the first House arts festival in the history of the College this spring. Lasting from April 14 to 17, the festival will include exhibitions and competitions for work in the graphic arts done by Quincy members and people with some relation to the House.

Each night the students will present two Mozart operas conducted by Joel Lazar '61, Bastien and Bastienne, and Martinu--Comedy on the Bridge. Besides the operas, the festival may include several chamber music recitals, according to Burton A. Melnick '62, director. Melnick also hopes to have a prominent poet visit the House and read some of his works, but he has not yet selected the writer.

House funds, largely money from the Ford Foundation, will pay for the festival.
