NEW HAVEN, Nov. 20--Winthrop House and Grays Hall triumphed today in the championship touch football games by downing Trumbull College and the Yale freshman team, respectively.
The Yardling squad crushed the Bulldog freshmen, 38 to 18, in an unofficial inter-college contest, while Winthrop defeated Trumbull College, the Eli title holders, by a score of 36 to 12. In both games, all six members of each Crimson team went over for touchdowns.
Grays, which was undefeated during the regular season and had never been scored upon more than once in a game, fought to an early lead and then held on for the rest of the game. The Bulldogs made two of their scores in a strong comeback attempt late in the second period.
Although Winthrop's victory margin was impressive it was unsurprising for a team which won its last House game with a 71-18 romp over Adams.
