Charity List Revised

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Harvard Combined Charities Drive has dropped the World University Service from its list of recommended charities, the HCC Committee announced recently. The Service is an international student relief agency that emphasizes aid to refugee students.

At the same time, two new charities, the Crusade for Freedom and the Damon Runyon Fund, were added.

Contributors to the Combined Charities Drive may specify which charity organization is to receive their money, but all unspecified contributions, which usually constitute a large percentage of the total, are shared by the charities on the recommended list.

The list now includes: Phillips Brooks House Association, The United Fund, the National Scholarship Service and Fund for Negro Students, the Crusade for Freedom, and the Damon Runyon Fund for Cancer.
