The University has nominated Herman Gundlach, Jr. '34 for Sports Illustrated's Silver Anniversary All-America team.
While at Harvard, Gundlach played guard on the football team, captaining the varsity squad in 1934. For three years he was a member of the Student Council and, in 1932 served as Class President. He was also on the Athletic Board and First Marshal of his class.
Seventy other men have been nominated for the team, which will include 25 former football greats who have distinguished themselves in their careers since graduation.
