The Harvard Student Agencies has disclosed plans to set up a "trading post" for furniture, books, and small accessories. Agency officials said they want the exchange to channel the momentous flow of furniture each spring and fall.
The organization hopes to store sofas, chairs, and tables for the summer, and then sell them to incoming students for the original owners. Agency managers hope the exchange will replace the present scattered, bulletin-board method of selling.
