H. Stuart Hughes, professor of History, has been elected Chairman of the Faculty Committee on Degrees in History and Literature. He replaces Sterling Dow, John E. Hudson Professor of Archaeology.
In the History and Literature general examinations the specific one-hour essay and the two textual questions will be on the first day, followed by the two-hour essay question on the second day. Monday's CRIMSON erred in stating that the two-hour textual test would be held the day before the general essay and specific tests.
