Phi Beta Kappa Will Initiate Eighty New Seniors as Members

Eighty seniors will be initiated into the Phi Betta Kappa Society at the anniversary luncheon today at 12:30 p.m. in the Fogg Museum.

Elected last Saturday night in the Society's final election of the 1957-58 academic year were David B. Arnold, Lewis C. Austin, Richard W. Dixon, Steven J. Hirsch, John S. Mautner, David Riess, and Robert A. Weisberg of Adams House.

Dudley seniors elected included William Cahill, David T. Roy, Gerald E. Siegal, and Herbert M. Wyman.

Jerry W. Brown, Benjamin J. Cohn, William W. Freehling, John E. Gudeman, Lawrence M. Hartmann, James R. Lehrich, Eugene Lew, John Mendelsohn, Robert A. Meyers, John F. Post, Michael L. Rappaport, Frederick A. Rzewski, and Thomas K. Schwabacher were elected from Dunster House.

New members of the Society from Eliot are Ernest S. Abers, Edward D. Aswell, Morton M. Hackman, Robert S. Kandel, Herbert R. Kohl, Dexter W. Lawson, Joseph S. Lelyveld, James R. McCredie, A. E. Keir Nash, James H. Rieger, and Harold M. Ross.

From Kirkland are Walter A. Baker, Ralph F. Baierlein, Amiel G. Cooper, Howard L. Erdman, David Falk, Richard C. Johnson, George N. Rogentine, Michael C. Senturia, Thomas J. Shankland, Robert Underhill, and Richard P. Zimon.

Michael A. Boyd, G. De Spoelberch, Richard B. Dobrow, Alan D. Grinnell, S. Dale Harris, Jay R. Merson, James H. Reiss, Paul A. Roazan, Howard R. Sloan, and Ernest Winsor were elected from Leverett House.

The eighty new members are invited to a business meeting and convocation previous to the literary exercises and luncheon, this morning at 10 a.m. in Harvard Hall.
