Dr. Philip H. Walker '39 has donated $7200 in stocks to be shared by the Radcliffe Development Fund and the Program for Harvard College, Mildred P. Sherman, Dean of College Relations, announced yesterday.
The contribution, which will be used for construction of the proposed Health Center, is the first to be split by the two colleges' funds. In addition, the gift was the first donated to the Colleges by a Harvard-Radcliffe family, Dean Sherman said.
Robert J. Hunneman '28, chairman of the Development Fund, stated that the Rabb Trust of Boston and the trustees of the Stop & Shop Charitable Foundation have donated $25,000 to help finance the radiological and flouroscopic services in the Health Center. In addition, Radcliffe has received an anonymous contribution of $100,000 to finance three new cooperative houses, Hunneman reported.
