The Crimson golf team will travel to New York City Saturday to face Columbia on the Lion's home course, Van Cortlandt Park.
Van Cortlandt, a municipal course, is badly run down, with dirt at the tees and a poor green. Columbia's familiarity with the links may prove to be the decisive factor in the match.
The varsity, with a 6-3 record this season, is one of the most well-balanced Crimson teams in many years. The top four players are likely to make the Easterns in the 36 hole qualifying round later this year.
Freshmen Play Exeter
The undefeated Freshman golfers will travel to play Exeter tomorrow afternoon. The Freshmen have defeated Governor Dummer, 8 to 1, and Andover, 7 to 2. Their toughest matches of the season will be a contest Wednesday against Yale Freshmen, and a meeting May 17 with Dartmouth. Both of these matches are away.
In tomorrow's lineup against Exeter will be Fiske Warren, Alan Locker, Malcolm Schulz, Allan Lipsky, Dave Mann, Alan Bookin, Eric Ravndal, and Kevin Murphy.
