Ruggers to Play Princeton Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Crimson rugby team will face its first real test of the season on Soldiers Field at 2 this afternoon, as it faces a Princeton side that has just won Bermuda's Intercollegiate Cup.

One big Tiger advantage will be the experience gained from its four games this spring. After defeating Amherst and Dartmouth in Bermuda, they have lost to the same two teams in Eastern League play. The Crimson has played only one match all spring--a rather sloppy win over M.I.T. last Saturday.

The main differences in the Crimson team today will be in the back-line, where the return of Jim Damis at fly-half should help add the thrust so noticeably lacking last week. In the forwards, Bill Gill will fill in for Stan Merkel, who ripped a hamstring muscle against M.I.T.

Princeton and Harvard shared the Eastern Rugby League title last year, when both sides were undefeated and unable to arrange a play-off match.
