I write in reply to a letter of Daniel M. Musher '59, on the planning of History tutorial.
At a meeting of the Department of History on March 13 it was agreed that the proposed tutorial course in the Junior year could not be related to the student's work in his special field. Mr. Musher is therefore not correctly informed in supposing that "tutorial in History...has become...a rather detailed study of the philosophy of history, apparently with the wholehearted approval of the department."
