Taylor Expects Kirkland to Have House Sections Meet Next Year

To Use Remodeled Room

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Section meetings in Economics 1, Government 1, and perhaps Social Sciences 1 may be held in Kirkland House next year, according to Charles H. Taylor, Master of the House.

The House has recently completed walling off a room in the basement which will be used for the sections. The remodeling was financed by a combination of funds from the Ford Foundation grant to the House and of money from the University. Furniture for the new room was gathered from other rooms in the College.

Taylor expected that the new room, which will hold approximately 30 persons, would be used by Kirkland House non-resident tutors for their tutorials. The room would also be available for the use of other committees in the House.
