Lowell, Dunster, Kirkland Select Representatives

Three Houses elected Student Council representatives in elections yesterday and Tuesday, and Dudley House has elected its member of the Permanent Class Committee for the Class of 1959.

Frederick H. Joseph '59, of Dudley House and Dorchester, was elected after two days of balloting and becomes the sixth member of the class committee elected to date. Voting for Lowell House candidates, tied at the end of yesterday's voting, will be held in another election at a time set by the House Elections Committee.

Successful junior candidates for the Student Council are Lawrence B. Ekpebu of Lowell House and Lagos, Nigeria, David S. Chapin of Dunster House and Buffalo, N.Y., and David M. Balabanian, of Kirkland House and Cashmere, Wash. Sophomores who have won seats are Abraham F. Lewenthal of Lowell House and Leominster, who was unopposed; Albert L. Jacobs, Jr. of Dunster House and New York City; and Barnett Frank of Kirkland House and Bayonne, N.J., who was also unopposed.

Elected to the Council Tuesday at Winthrop House were Samuel A. Halaby '60, of Rochester, N.Y., junior representative, and Eugene Zagat '61, of New York City, sophomore representative.

Balloting for Student Council Representatives at Adams, Dudley, and Eliot Houses and the election to break the tie between Levon G. Kasarjian, Jr. '59 and Charles M. Needle '59 for Winthrop House member of the Permanent Committee will be in January.
