Five members of the Permanent Class Committee for the Class of 1959 were chosen yesterday in House elections. Voting in Dudley House, Winthrop House and Lowell House will be completed today, bringing the Committee's total membership to 12.

The seniors elected George L. Damoose, of Kirkland House and Grand Rapids, Mich.; D. Dwight Dogherty, Jr., of Dunster House and Augusta, Maine; John R. Richardson, Jr., of Adams House and Wellesley Hills; Alfred S. Arkley, of Leverett House and Bellevue, Wash.; and Nicholas C. Taylor, of Eliot House and Washington, D.C.

Members previously chosen to the Committee include Class Marshals Marc E. Leland, Robert R. Foster, R. Dyke Benjamin, and alternate Marshal Richard E. Rubenstein.

An unusual situation occurred in Winthrop, where the balloting resulted in an exact tie between Charles M. Needle and Levon G. Kasarjian, Jr. A re-vote to resolve the tie is scheduled for today.

Another day of voting was required in Dudley House, since two days of balloting are necessary to allow all the commuting members a share in selecting the Committee. Elections in Lowell House were postponed until today for unexplained reasons.

The main function of the Permanent Class Committee is making arrangements for the 1959 Commencement. In addition, some members of the Committee are usually asked to raise funds for the Class' 25th Reunion.
