Harold Cowles, squash and tennis coach at Harvard from 1923 to 1937, died Monday night. During his years as coach, his squash teams never lost an intercollegiate match, and included twelve national champions. John M. Barnaby '32, his successor, called him, "One of the most successful coaches Harvard has ever had."
