NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

All bicycles left outside parking racks in the Radcliffe Quad will be confiscated by college authorities, Thomas Gates, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds at Radcliffe, warned last night.

In addition, both the Cambridge Police Department and the Radcliffe administration will start strict enforcement of bicycle rules next week. All bicycles must be registered with the City and bicyclists must conform with traffic rules. A fine of one dollar or suspension of registration will be imposed for breaking regulations.

Bicycle riding in the Radcliffe Yard will also be strictly prohibited in the future. Cambridge police are presently engaged in a crackdown on jaywalking and bicycle carelessness in the Square area, Chief Daniel J. Brennan announced.
