Donald B. Lindsley, professor of Psychology at the University of California will explore the relation between the psychology and physiology of the nervous system in the first of this year's William James Lectures.
The lectures, which will be given for the next nine Mondays in Allston Burr Lecture Hall, will explore the underlying mechanisms for such phenomena as perception, learning, motivation, and emotion.
The James Lectures ae given every second year under the auspices of either the Department of Psychology or the Department of Philosophy.
