The varsity soccer team, on the defensive for most of the first half, came alive in the last two periods today, to defeat Williams, 2 to 1, at Williamstown. Roger Tuckerman and Larry Ekpebu were the scorers for the varsity.

The Ephmen dominated action at the start and forced Crimson goalie Tom Bagnoli to make several fine saves. Ekpebu broke the scoreless tie midway through the third period as he scored on a break. Tuckerman added the insurance goal at 12:45 of the final period when he took a pass from center halfback Bill Rapp, turned around and scored with a hard shot to the left corner of the goal. Williams finally scored with four minutes to go in the game, but the varsity held on.
