Crimson to Meet Lord Jeff Squad

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Crimson baseball squad will resume action tomorrow afternoon at 2:30, after a 17-day exam period layoff, when it meets Amherst on Soldiers Field. The team will play three more games, one with William (away) and two with Yale (home and home) before rounding out the year. None of the games will count in Ivy or Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League standings.

Little is known about the Lord Jeffs, but coach Norm Shepard places them among the "best two or three teams in New England."

Shepard plans to use at least two pitchers in tomorrow's contest, and will probably start senior Dom Repetto. Bob McGinnis, and possibly Joel Bernstein will also hurl for the Crimson. Center fielder Walt Stahura is "well" again, and will be back at his old post.

Otherwise, the local lineup will remain the same, with Tom Bergantino at third, Bob Cleary at second, Babe Simourian at first, Bob Hasting at short, Matt Botsford at right, John Getch at left, and Phil Haughey catching.
