The varsity lacrosse team, despite the absence of two key players, posted its most decisive victory of the season yesterday against Tufts by a score of 11 to 5.

Before the game it was dubious whether Crimson goalie Dick McKinnon, who was bedridden Tuesday, would be able to play.

Dub Mallonee, who had just returned to the lineup after a leg injury, led the Crimson attack with four goals and three assists. Dick Pille, also sidelined during the past several contests, contributed three tallies to the winning cause.

Tufts took an early lead with two goals in the opening minutes of play, but the Crimson offense broke loose with five goals--two by Pille and one each by Mallonee, captain Mac Hyde, and Larry Connell--to take a commanding lead.

The Jumbos brought the score to 5 to 3 at halftime with a goal midway through the second period. Pille, Mallone, and Jim Gale all registered for the Crimson in the next period, however, while the varsity defense held off the Tufts attackers, and the outcome was never in doubt there-after.

The final three Crimson goals were added by Mallonee (two) and Manuel Cabral in the last quarter.

The Yardling team was crushed by the Williams freshman squad yesterday, 26 to 16
