The Junior Varsity baseball team yesterday came from behind to defeat Suffolk University, 5-2. Herb Scheiner pitched the full nine innings for the Crimson, recording ten strikeouts along the way.
Suffolk was leading, 2-1, in the sixth, when Kent Hathaway blasted a basesloaded triple to move the Crimson in front to stay. The JV's added a final tally in the eighth to put the game on ice.
Meanwhile, the Dartmouth freshmen pinned an 18-2 defeat on the Yardlings. Starter Dave Kipp was shelled from the mound early by the heavy-hitting Green batsmen, and his successors, Bill Cunningham and Jim Dineen, had little more success in stemming the tide.
