Strong Princeton Team Crushes Crimson Lacrosse Varsity, 18-2

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity lacrosse team, with only two victories to its credit this season, met perhaps the strongest team in the Ivy League at Princeton Saturday, and the result was almost predictable. The Tigers routed the Crimson, 18 to 2.

Princeton overpowered the varsity with six goals in the first quarter, seven in the second, and five in the third. In the final period, when the Tigers sent what amounted to the J.V. team into play, the contest first became fairly even.

The Crimson made its only scoring drive of the afternoon midway through the second period when Mike Shaw and captain Mac Hyde, on an assist from Jim Herscot, penetrated the rigid Tiger defense to register the team's only two tallies.

Princeton captain Don MacElwee led the scoring with four goals.
