Gilbert R. Barnhart, director of the Demonstration Program Branch of the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the Urban Renewal Administration in Washington, has been named executive secretary of the Citizens' Advisory Committee for Cambridge, the committee chairman announced recently.
The new secretary, who will begin his duties on July 1, received a Ph.D. in Government at Harvard in 1947.
The Citizens Advisory Committee is making plans for urban design and redevelopment.
