Golfers Lose to Dartmouth, Conclude Season

The Crimson golfers dropped a disappointing match to Dartmouth yesterday, 4 to 3, to end their season with a record of nine wins and six loses. The strong freshman squad brought its record up to four and one, defeating the Indians, 4 to 3.

In the varsity match, Tom Wheeling and Bob Ornsteen rounded off their successful seasons by defeating their Big Green opponents, five and four, and four and three. The other win was provided by number six man Alan Steinert, one up in 19 holes. Steinert shot an eagle three on the fifteenth, and put a forward shot three inches from the hole.

The Crimson losses were: Bailey to Milton, two up; Klein to MacDonald, six and five; Iliff to Lattimore, four and three; and Beady to Jacobus, six and five.

In the freshman match, the wins were: Dudding, three and one; Tyler, three and two; David, one up; and Rose, two and one. Elsom, Quinn, and Snow lost their matches.
