A chronic shortage of hits undermined the Yardling baseball squad yesterday, as the team lost to Tufts, 8 to 5.

Dick Greene batted in two runs in the second inning with the only two hits of the game. Although the freshmen often had men in scoring position, they could drive them in only on basas on balls.
