Tennis Team Is Favored to Beat Tarheels Today

The varsity tennis team will seek its fourteenth win against no losses today when it faces the University of North Carolina at 3 p.m. on the Soldiers Field Courts. The Crimson's record should stay unblemished.

Over spring vacation, the varsity took 29 out of 30 matches and appeared definitely superior to UNC, despite the fact that UNC won last years encounter, 8 to 1. That team, which completely outclassed the Crimson last spring, has lost most of its top players and has been without a coach for a large part of this year.

The varsity, on the basis of its excellent play all spring, climaxed by its defeat of powerful Presbyterian College, should definitely be favored.

The Crimson will be looking past this match, however, to this weekend, when it goes on its most crucial trip of the year to oppose Williams, Columbia, and most important of all, Princeton.

The Crimson is riding on the crest of a seventeen game winning streak, stretching back to last may, when the varsity bowed to Miami.
