Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Edward S. Penny has been appointed the next chairman of the Law School Fund, Wesley E. Bevins, Jr., Fund director, announced yesterday.
The Fund is currently seeking $100,000 for 100 full-tuition scholarships for the Law School, and is soliciting funds to increase open stack space in the School's library and augment the library's budget and the School's general funds.
Raymond S. Wilkins '12, president of the Law School Association Council, named Penny to head the Fund during its next fiscal year, which begins July 1. Penny, who is associated with the New York law firm of Cravath, Swaine, and Moore, will succeed James A. Fowler, Jr.
John Richardson '08 of Boston and George E. Hale of Chicago were named national vice chairmen to succeed R. Ammi Cutter '22, who has been appointed to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Richardson will handle gifts from graduates of classes prior to 1926, and Hale will handle donations from later classes.
