The University Band and Glee Club have announced that they will make extensive tours during the Spring Recess.
The Glee Club will tour the country for nine days, March 30 to April 7, performing mostly in Midwestern cities. A concert in Chicago for the 100th Anniversary of the Harvard Club of Chicago is featured on the schedule.
The Band's concert tour begins in Boston on March 29, at Symphony Hall. Other performances will be given at Carnegie Hall, Albany, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C.
Besides visiting two Midwestern institutions, Ohio Central State College and Lake Erie College, the Glee Club will sing at Becker Junior College in Worcester, Mass.
G. Wright Briggs, Jr. '31 will conduct the Band performance at Symphony Hall. The program includes Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture."
