'60 Freedom Council Will Begin Campaign For Hungarian Youth

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Harvard Freedom Council, the newly formed freshman organization to study American relations with Eastern Europe, will conduct a fund-raising drive to defray the expenses of one or more Hungarian Students in next year's freshman class.

As in the case of the Kirkland House drive, the University will provide scholarship money for tuition and so the funds raised will provide for the student's room and board.

A goal of $800 has been set for the drive which will canvass only the freshman class by members of the Freedom Council. A movie on the Hungarian revolt will open the campaign in the second week of April.

The Council will try to obtain the support of the Union Committee in this project, which Council President John F. Maher '60 calls a gift from this year's freshmen class to next year's.
