To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
I would like to say something about the great myth, namely, the idea that Radcliffe girls are overburdened with social life. The average Radcliffe girl goes out twice a week at most. She does not turn away hundreds of eager Graduate students. She is not dated up for weeks in advance. She cannot pick her man and then get him. There is much talk about the ratio, but only one of the seven is likely to be interested in going out and he will probably be scared away by the myth. This myth is propagated by many publications, especially "The Freshman Register." It is part of the indoctrination of each newcomer. The myth is responsible for many girls coming to Radcliffe. It is responsible for many girls being unhappy at Radcliffe. We would like to see it end. A Radcliffe Freshman
